Primary pathological fibrinogenolysis

Primary fibrinogenolysis is an uncommon acquired bleeding disorder which should be distinguished from DIC with secondary fibrin lysis.

Review clinical features; FBC, blood film, platelet count; APTT, PT, thrombin time, fibrinogen; fibrin degradation products or D-dimers.
