| Application | Diagnosis of Toxocara canis or Toxocara cati infection causing visceral larva migrans or ocular larva migrans (usually in children). |
| Interpretation | A single positive result is not proof of active infection. A rising or falling titre may be diagnostic in the appropriate clinical setting. A negative result does not exclude the diagnosis. |
