| Application | Test inidcator for: Investigation of recurrent pyogenic or fungal infections especially chest, skin and gingival infections. Diagnosis of chronic granulomatous disease(CGD) and other primary defects in neutrophil function. Detection of CGD carriers. |
| Interpretation | Impairment of phagocytosis indicates impairment of oxidative blast may indicate CGD or even rarer neutrophil disorder which may be primary or secondary to ongoing pyogenic infection. Specialised interpretation is required. |
