| Application | Usually for investigation of renal calculi. Diagnosis of hypocalciuric hypercalcaemia. |
| Interpretation | Increased excretion seen with high dietary intake of calcium, increased mobilisation of calcium from bone, and most conditions associated with hypercalcaemia. |
