| Reference Interval | Reaction diameter 3 mm greater than control. |
| Application | Role in testing for IgE-mediated drug allergy (esp penicillin) and stinging insect allergy. Only occasionally used with other allergen extracts. |
| Interpretation | Should be interpreted in association with clinical history. Should always be preceded by skin prick testing and performed only if skin prick testing is negative. |
